CTC Secretary General called to defend the Revolution with concrete contributions

The meeting was also chaired by Yudi Rodriguez Hernandez, member of the Central Committee of the Party and its first secretary in Villa Clara, Alberto Lopez Diaz, president of the Provincial Assembly of the People´s Power, and Julio Enrique Morales Verea, Secretary General of the CTC in the territory.

Without the contributions of the workers, there will be no progress of the Revolution. The labor movement is essential to advance the economy, to boost the productive forces and to develop the strategic sectors, even amid the serious economic constraints and the resurgence of aggressive policies and sanctions of the empire against Cuba, said Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento in Santa Clara, General Secretary of the Central of Workers of Cuba (CTC) and member of the Political Bureau and the Council of State, when intervening in the balance meeting of the union in this province relative to the 2019.

Again and again, the top leader of the country's trade union movement called for looking for formulas to respond to the demands of the current moments.

During the meeting, very important interventions were heard on the response of the workers to the strategic sectors, such as: food production, the sugar industry and the industry in general, investment projects, construction and local production of construction materials, as well as the application of the results of science, as the driving force behind the Cuban economic model, among others.

Guilarte de Nacimiento also pronounced himself on the necessary response the Cuban labor movement must give to increase the sources of income, and to substitute imports and to increase exports and the efficiency, when the aggressions of the Empire against our country have intensified and the real affectations are becoming evident on the Cuban economy.

We must release the productive forces to respond effectively even in the midst of deficiencies; and we have to demonstrate the viability of the socialism. This is not achieved with slogans and fanfare; but with concrete answers, he said.

Yudi Rodriguez Hernandez, the highest authority of the party in the territory, referred to the need to stimulate the young workers while cited as an example the delivery of homes to young families at the end of the year. In that regard, she called for the trade union movement to have the human being as the center of everything.
