Recognized the Work of Lawyers in Villa Clara

The lawyers of Villa Clara reviewed their work results during 2017. The quality of the services, the advice to economic entities, the improvement, the effort to attend professionally to natural and legal persons, were among the topics discussed.

Ileana Sandoval Roldan, Secretary of the National Board of the Organization of Collective Law Firms (ONBC) recognized the strength of those who practice law in Villa Clara, a province of reference for the historical results of these professionals, she said.

Meanwhile, during the exchange in which were pointed out the strategic work objectives to provide quality services, Dolores Pedraza Valle, Head Comptroller in the territory, called to exercise a more active role in the economic environment, to contribute, and be present at key moments of each entity.

Procedures of the population that dilate in entities such as the Housing Institute, the Physical Planning Institute or the Agriculture Delegation, motivated the interventions of lawyers representing clients who are still waiting, despite the terms and the contracts. However, they acknowledged that some progress is being made in the relations with other bodies with which they interact, such as the Justice institutions and the Justice Courts.

More than 150 lawyers practice in 16 law firms in the province, having this service in all of the municipalities of the territory, whose best exponents were recognized in this recount that was also distinguished by the tribute to Adelma Mesa Nunez, experienced jurist, who is example of dedication and professionalism, with over 40 years of wearing the toga of justice, for which she was creditor of the Meritorious Life Condition.

On January 22nd, 1965, the first Collective Law Firm was founded in our country. More than half a century later, the tradition of the Legal Profession in Cuba continues and the task of bringing its services closer to the population.
