New version of Nauta application available in Cuba

The Cuban Telecommunications Company (ETECSA) reported that a new version of the Nauta application (1.2.0.1) is available today for mobile devices with the Android operating system.

According to the announcement, the application (apk) is available, for free by mobile data, on the company's page (http://etecsa.cu), where it is alerted about the importance of uninstalling the previous version before proceeding to install the new one.

In 2019, the beta version of the Nauta apk was made available to the population, designed to provide greater security when accessing public Wi-Fi areas.

The tool notifies the user when they are not directly connecting to an ETECSA access point, and facilitates a direct connection to the service's authentication portal.

In addition, it allows access to the User Portal from the Wi-Fi network itself and also by mobile data, without having to type the URL (web address) in the browser.

The company encourages users to download the available version for free to enrich it with their opinions and suggestions, through the telephone number 118, Commercial Information service, or by email atencion.usuarios@etecsa.cu.

This new tool is part of the actions carried out by ETECSA to guarantee greater security in access to the Nauta service, refers to the text published this Monday on its official website.

ETECSA urges users to follow all the recommendations to protect their data and recommends that they only connect to the WIFI_ETECSA network, not share credentials (username and password) and periodically change the password.
