ONURE working in Villa Clara for the development of more efficient technologies and practices

After a period of hard work, with the purpose at achieving the efficiency in the face of the fuel deficit, the National Office for the Control of Rational Energy Use (ONURE) celebrates the 7 years after being founded in Villa Clara.

Armando Hernandez Pedroso, its director in the territory, highlighted the intensity of this year's work. Given the difficult energy situation that the country went through, the ONURE played a fundamental role in organizing and charting the strategy to, together with the highest authorities of the Party and the Government in the province, avoid the blackouts, he concluded.

During the energy contingency the country faced, the ONURE carried out a fundamental work in the control, saving, and rational use of the energy in the province. The identification and the advice of large consumers, both in the state and the non-state sectors, as well as the conduction of more than 1,600 inspections, together with the work of the click patrols and the university energy contingent, contributed to avoiding blackouts in Villa Clara.

On the other hand, the inspective bodies of the ONURE also played a leading role in the fight against the illegalities, such is the case of the control over the sales of fuel to the more than 600 private actors of the province.

In times when the entry of fuels into the country is increasingly difficult, the work of this entity in regulating, diagnosing, controlling, and training all the agencies and institutions in the rational use of energy must be constant.
