Zeolite employed for cattle raising in Villa Clara

The use of zeolite for cattle raising had positive outcomes in four farms of the area of ​​the Hanabanilla Lake, at the Guamuhaya massif of Villa Clara, an important environmental and economic contribution to the recovery of the cattle mass.

The mineral contributes to the decontamination of the environment from the waste of animals raised in stables, wastes with which organic fertilizer is used to fertilize crops for pastures, vegetables and other crops, without the need for the acquisition of chemical products.

Orel Perez, specialist at the Mining Company of the Center, told that the use of zeolite improves the environmental conditions and substitutes imports in the purchase of artificial components to benefit the soil.

The researcher, who has spent 47 years in the study of the mineral for the most diverse applications, explained that it is expected to extend these results to the rest of the province, in order to reduce livestock deaths due to pollution, and the expenditure of foreign exchange.
