5 new positive cases confirmed for COVID-19 in Cuba

For COVID-19, 2,309 samples were studied, resulting in 5 positive samples. The country accumulates 175 thousand 372 samples made and 2,353 positive (1.3%). Therefore, at the close of yesterday, 5 new cases were confirmed, for a cumulative of 2,353 in the country.

At the close of yesterday, July 1, 119 patients are admitted to hospitals for epidemiological clinical surveillance. Another 144 people are monitored in their homes, from the Primary Health Care.

The 5 confirmed cases were Cuban. Of the diagnosed 4 (80%) were contacts of confirmed cases and in 1 (20%) the source of infection is not specified. Of these 2 (40%) were female and 3 (60%) male. By age groups: under 20 years 2 cases (40%) and from 40 to 60 years 3 cases (60%). 20% (1) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.
