Cuba denounces coercive measures against Iran

Anayansi Rodriguez Camejo, Cuban First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, condemned on behalf of the Cuban Government and people, the new unilateral coercive economic measures imposed by the US administration against Iran.

In the statement published by Cubaminrex, the Cuban diplomat expressed the rejection of the application of new, arbitrary, and unjust unilateral coercive economic measures announced by the US government against the financial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

These sanctions constitute a flagrant violation of the principles of the International Law and the Charter of the United Nations, while affect the well-being of the Iranian people. These are contrary to the international trade rules and threatens both the regional peace and the regional stability, Rodriguez Camejo said.
