Cuban Vice President meets with Vice President Elect of Panama

The Vice President of the Council of State of Cuba, Gladys Bejerano Portela, was received by Gabriel Carrizo Jaém, Vice President Elect of the Republic of Panama, who is taking office on July 1.

During the meeting, Cubaminrex reported, they agreed on the willingness to deepen existing ties of friendship and cooperation between Panama and Cuba, as well as the importance of boosting economic and trade relations.

On the Panamanian side, Federico Alfaro Boyd and Samira Gozaine, Vice-Chancellor and Immigration Director, respectively, and Celso Carrizo, advisor to the Vice-President-elect, also participated.

The Cuban Vice President was accompanied by the Director of Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Jorge Luis Mayo, and the Cuban Ambassador in Panama, Lydia González Navarro.
