Mejunje Theater: From January 21st to January 29th in Santa Clara

Approximately 30 national theater groups will participate, including El Viento Theater Group, El Portazo Theater Group, El Publico Theater Group, the Guinol Theater Group of Santa Clara and of Remedios, El Mejunje Theater Company, and the Escambray Theater Group, among others.

Dedicated to Armando Morales, National Theater Awardee, and Margot Alvarez, founder of the Dripy Theater, this Tuesday January 21st, the XXVIII Edition of the Mejunje Theater Festival begins in Santa Clara, with the participation of about 30 groups from several provinces of the country.

The participation of approximately 30 groups from different provinces will give form to the event, which will run until January 29th.

Ramon Silverio, director of El Mejunje Cultural Center, who is also in front of the Organizing Committee of the event, told the CMHW that several theater groups with high acceptance among the population are going to participate at the event, like:  El Viento and El Portazo Theater Groups.

Silverio also explained that the local proposals are not far behind, as El Mejunje Theater Company will perform two of its plays, “After the Z”, and “Yisel”.

Regarding the traditional schedules and spaces of the institution, he said: All our space, all the bars, the coffee bar will be working and I know that people can have a good time here during these days.
