Quinteto Criollo records new album

From December 9th and until December 19th, the Quinteto Criollo will be recording a new album of Cuban peasant music at the Eusebio Delfin Studios of Bis Music, located in the city of Cienfuegos, as part of the stimulus after winning the 2018 National Classic of Punto Cubano.

The CD, which will be the fifth of the music group, will contain five musical themes of the repertoire taken to the event and a song by Manolo Fernandez entitled “In the backwater of the river”. Likewise, they will record around ten peasant tunes in the voice of Ernestina Trimino.

In the same way, two controversies or poetic dialogues will be included in the voices of the poets Jose Manuel Silverio, Eduardo Cruz Leon, and Rolando Rivero, all from Villa Clara, along with the poet from Camaguey, Nelson Lima, who attended as a reinforcement to the classic.

The writer Geovannys Manso will be in charge of the record labels and the painter Ramon Fuentes will design the cover of the CD.
