Cuban Outstanding Hurdler to Compete for First Time in U.S

Cuban hurdler Dayron Robles will compete for the first time in the United States in June, Jorge Luis Aguilera, member of the Technical Committee of the Cuban Athletics Federation, said on Wednesday. Aguilera exclusively told Prensa Latina that the winner of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing in the 110-meter hurdles will run in the city of Eugene on June 2, and in New York on June 9.

Cuban-Dominincans for Women's Volley Pre-Olympic Finals

Cuba and the Dominican Republic play today the Women's Volleyball pre-Olympic finals (NORCECA). Both teams ended the North, Central America and Caribbean Confederation preliminary round as leaders of their groups: Cuba scored 3-0 wins in group B winning all nine sets while the Dominican Republic had similar scores but lost two sets in group A.
